Welcome to Circle City Sweets! I am so excited to be sharing one of my favorite things - dessert - with you. Circle City Sweets began in January '07 and we are getting busier every day. Unfortunately we do not have a store-front yet, but I just know it is not that far away.

We are always looking for new and exciting opportunities for CCS. Here are a few things we are doing:

Markets –

  • City Market – our hope is to open a retail patisserie at the City Market in downtown Indy. So, we have decided to participate at the Farmer's Market on Wednesdays at the City Market. We have been coming to the City Market since January and it is going VERY well! Thanks to everyone who shops with us. When? Wednesdays from 9:30am – 1:30pm on Market Street between Alabama and Delaware.
  • Binford Market – this is our 3rd season with the Binford Market and each year it gets busier and busier. The market has grown every year and you will find many of your favorite vendors here. It is located in Hawthorne Plaza at 62nd and Binford Boulevard and runs from 8am – noon. Staffing this market will be my sister Deb rotating with other staff members when needed.
  • Carmel Market - This is also our 3rd season with Carmel and what a wonderful market this is! So many amazing vendors and what a wonderful group of regular customers. I typically staff this market so be sure to stop out and visit. The market is located in the parking lot behind the City Center, just off of the Monon. It runs from 8am – 11:30am.
  • Broad Ripple Market – This is our first season at the Broad Ripple Market and I keep asking myself, "WHAT TOOK US SO LONG?!" This market is located in the parking lot just behind the Broad Ripple High School and runs from 8am - noon. Again, many wonderful vendors here, so be sure to come out and visit!

Nicole-Taylor’s Pasta and Market –

  • This is the newest venture of Chef Tony and Rosa Hanslits. It is a wonderful shop at the 54th and Monon Shops – just down the way from Zest! We will be carrying a variety of desserts at the shop, including our Lemon Bars, Raspberry Bars, Cream Cheese Brownies, White Chocolate Cherry Cookies, Lemon Ginger Cookies, Rhuberry Bread (Strawberry Rhubarb) and our Harvest Apple Pumpkin Bread. I hope to be brining in some of our signature jams and granola. Right now the shop is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 – 8pm and on Saturdays from 9am – 6pm. What a great shop!! Stop in for some wonderful, fresh pasta, salads and homemade mozzarella and a wonderful bit of dessert.

Buggs Temple –

  • I am still working with Buggs Temple, located at 11th Street on the Canal downtown, although I have stepped away from working as their Pastry Chef. With Circle City Sweets growing so much, I decided to work with them on a wholesale basis instead. So, at Creation Cafι you will find our Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake, Carrot Cake, raspberry bars, granola, and whatever else they might order! With Euphoria – this is the fine dining level of Buggs Temple, we are providing different desserts as ordered, including our Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse Cake. We also supply them with our homemade caramels for the petits fours trays and our specialty jams for the cheese boards.

There are many other restaurants and cafes that we are doing work with, and we'll soon have a page on the site to let you know some of our favorite places and what we are doing for them.


What's in the oven

Farmer's Markets:
Wednesdays - we will be continuing with the City Market.
Saturdays - we will are at the Binford Market, Hawthorne Plaza at 62nd and Binford Boulevard, and at Broad Ripple, behind the High School. Both of these markets run all the way through October.
Saturdays - we are back up at the Carmel Farmer's Market.
The staffing for these will be a little different. My wonderful sisters - Deb and Tracy - will be rotating the Binford Market. I will be rotating between Carmel and Broad Ripple with our new intern - Jessica - and Kyle.

We have been doing more and more wedding cakes, so keep an eye on the website as we are looking at adding a "Weddings" page - photos, cake and favor info, and more.

It is time for the A-List voting through WRTV and we would LOVE your support.

I am pleased to announce a new partnership that we have! You can now find some of our products at Nicole Taylor's Pasta Market located on 54th Street at the Monon, just down the block from another favorite, Zest! Some of the products we are taking include our raspberry bars, lemon bars, cream cheese brownies, cookies and some of our quick breads. I hope to start taking in some jams, granola and other items. The shop is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 - 8pm and Saturdays from 9am - 6pm. I'll keep you posted.

A couple of partnerships - Annie's Tea Wagon and Holy Cow Cupcakes! If you are interested in having a unique experience, contact Annie. We are currently making petits fours for her tea parties. Also, our friend Karen, owner of Holy Cow Cupcakes recently opened her shop in Carmel at 545 S. Rangeline. She is going to be using our caramel sauce in a couple of her cupcakes.

This is a slow time of the year with the restaurants, so if you need a little personal baking, office, family, whatever, give me a call! I have been playing with some new cakes!

Also, I changed the dessert menu at Euphoria (second floor of Buggs Temple) and I am really excited about it. We are currently offering: chocolate panna cotta with balsamic and port reduced cherries; vanilla bean creme brulee with mango mousse; apple strudel with house made vanilla ice; citrus pound cake with lemon cream; and bourbon chocolate cake with white chocolate cream. If you haven't been there yet, give it a go. The food is awesome!
